What we inspect

  • Network: router/firewall, switches, access point placement, actual measured coverage and speeds room by room.
  • Wiring: what cable exists in the walls, what condition it is in, and what it can be reused for.
  • Cameras and security: whether your system is genuinely recording, at what quality, with what retention, and where the coverage gaps are.
  • Audio, video and control: what is installed, what still works, and what is one firmware update from failing.
  • Rack and equipment closet: power protection, ventilation, labeling and the honest state of the spaghetti.
  • Credentials and documentation: who actually controls your accounts and hardware today. The answer is frequently "a company that no longer exists."

What you receive

  • A plain-English written report of everything above.
  • A prioritized plan: fix now, fix soon, fine as-is.
  • Fixed pricing for each phase, so you can budget it over time.
  • Your own documentation pack (credentials, port map, device inventory).

Frequently asked questions

What does the technology assessment cost?

For most homes and small businesses in our service area, it is free. Large estates and multi-building commercial properties may have a scoped assessment fee that is credited toward any project we do. Either way, you will know before we book it.

What do I get out of it?

A written document: what is installed, what state it is in, what is failing and why, and a prioritized, phased plan with pricing. It is yours regardless of whether you hire us for the work.

My system was installed by a company that disappeared. Can you take it over?

Yes. This is one of the most common reasons people book an assessment. We identify the equipment, recover or reset access where possible, document everything, and put a support plan behind it.
